Karina Rosas #6

Who was your client?
Mrs. Allen's business group Booms the Italian restaurant.
How did you get your job?
I went and asked to be their client, and suggested that I could make their logo.
Did you deal with the client directly?
Yes.
Was there some sort of compensation?
No.
What was your role?
My role is to help them create the image of their restaurant and leave a positive mark on the people's mind for their restaurant.
Did you act professionally?
Yes
Did your client act professionally?
Yes, they were very straight forward with what they wanted and what they wanted was a very simple design.
Describe the work you did.
I created something very simple with a design that is pretty easy to indicate what type of restaurant it is, and made the color scheme with the type of food which was Italian.
Describe your creative process.
I first started by picking a font that would match the theme and looked Italian. I then chose the colors which were a dark green and red. I put a little piece of parsley at the top of the M because I feel like Italians like to top things off with a little green in their food, and it also gives a hint to what it is.
How often did you communicate with your client?
I communicated with them everyday, because I wanted to make sure they were getting what they wanted and if I should make any changes.
Did you have regular meetings to look over proofs or progress of work?
They weren't really meetings but I would show them their work and they would give me feedback and suggestions for improvement.
Were you able to meet the deadline?
Yes, I was able to because they were already satisfied with the design at is was coming along it was easy to work with.
What was the feedback from your client?
They were very satisfied, and their expectations were set low, because they wanted a very simple design, so they were overall very satisfied.
Did your client require changes?
None really, just to make the name of the restaurant bigger and to make the parsley more defined.
What was your favorite part working with the client?
I loved how they were very straight forward and easy to satisfy.
What was your least favorite part working with the client?
I sometimes didn't like how the design was so easy to make because sometimes I like a bit of a challenge,
Would you do anything differently?
I would probably come up with a more creative idea, but I will always go by with what the client wants.
What did you learn from this experience?
I learned that sometimes you're not going to put all of your creativity out there if you are working for someone with a different mindset than you, but of course that's always a part of the job.
